Would you go gamble without the previous mental preparation of losing some money? I mean what your reaction would be if you lost in blackjack? It is an exciting casino games, but preparation for failure must be done. No mental preparation for winning is needed, you just enjoy the moment.
Gambling is risky, flirting is risky, anything worth approaching or attempting is risky. Being already prepared is a good thing.
